GREnoble Excellence in Neurodegeneration, “GREEN”, is supported by the University of Grenoble Alpes (UGA). In our university health and technologies are one of the four main socio-economic challenges of the Grenoble IDEX. It is associated with the University Hospital of Grenoble (CHUGA).
The strategic choice of GREEN is to promote synergies between the research teams of Grenoble working in the field of neurodegenerative disorders in an organized community, mainly around Alzheimer’s disease (AD), Parkinson’s disease (PD), Multiple Sclerosis (MS) and Huntington’s disease (HD)). This is made possible by the existence of a multidisciplinarity based on strong fundamental, clinical and social sciences researches, as well as on the development of innovative technologies.
GREEN partners include the research teams, companies, the actors of the associative sectors and all the health professionals having an activity on neurodegenerative disorders are “partner” of GREEN.
Teams partners of GREEN belong to:
Research centers: Grenoble Institute in Neuroscience (GIN), Institute Albert Bonniot (IAB), TIMC-IMAG Laboratory, Department of Molecular Chemistry (DCM), Psychology and NeuroCognition Laboratory (LPNC).
Clinatec, an innovative technological platform for advanced diagnosis and treatment.
SFR Health and Society, federal research structure that meets scientific community from academic and socioeconomic worlds.
GREEN also collaborates with the MINATEC technology campus and innovative biotechnological platforms, EMBL, Institute of Structural Biology (IBS), University Hospital (CHUG), BIOPOLIS as well as Lyon Biopole and Minalogic (2 competitive poles) and is in close contact with local and national companies (Synapcell, PiXyl, etc.).
GREEN teams belong to international and national networks of excellence in complementary disciplinary fields. These networks encompass high level research teams whose excellence is recognized in each of their specific domains
NeuroPsyNov: University Hospital Federation (FHU) for refractory neuropsychiatric disorders
GRECO: group recognized for the Excellence in Cognitive research,
French Center of Excellence for Parkinson’s Disease,
BrainTeam, network of rare diseases of nervous system
