Team “Multiple Sclerosis”, Department of Psychiatry, Neurology and Rehabilitation, CHU Grenoble. The team works on diagnosis and multidisciplinary management of patients with multiple sclerosis. Research is focused on epidemiologic and therapeutic aspects of MS in relation to the MS Rhone-Alpes network.

Team ‘Brain stimulation and systems neuroscience’, GIN, Inserm U1216, Univ. Grenoble Alpes (UJF). The Team studies neuronal networks and their alteration in neurological and psychiatric conditions and how stimulation (DBS, magnetic stimulations…) can restore such networks.

Head of the Health and Society Federative Research Structure, created in 2011, that brings together researchers from the Grenoble-Alpes University (12 laboratories) as well as actors from economic, political, social and health sectors. The structure aims at supporting interdisciplinary research about health problematics with social issues.

The team is focused on surgical treatment of movement disorders. Research areas are the impact on motor and non-motor symptoms of DBS in Parkinson’s disease and dystonia.

Centre “Mémoire Ressources et Recherche”, Division of Neurology, Department of Psychiatry, Neurology and Rehabilitation, CHU Grenoble. The team works on diagnosis and management of patients with cognitive issues. Research is focused on progressive aphasia and semantic dementia.
 

Patrice MARCHE

Team “Analytic Immunology of Chronic Pathologies” Institut Albert Bonniot, IAB, Inserm U823, Univ. Grenoble Alpes carries out an analysis of the immune system and its digressions in chronic pathologies associated to inflammations, in particular on inflammatory diseases associated to human endogenous retrovirus such as multiple sclerosis, for which animal models are developed.

Team ‘Neurological Rehabilitation’, CHU de Grenoble. Department of Psychiatry, Neurology and Neurological Rehabilitation, CHU de Grenoble, Univer. Grenoble Alpes (UJF). The team focuses on rehab for balance, walking and spatial cognition on MS and PD patients.

Team 'Plasticity and Neurodegeneration’, GIN, Inserm U1216, Univ. Grenoble Alpes (UJF). The teams focus on understanding the role of endosomal proteins in the pathophysiological mechanisms of neurodegeneration including AD.

Team ’Intracellular Dynamics and Neurodegeneration’, GIN, Inserm U1216, Univ. Grenoble Alpes (UJF). The teams focus on understanding the role of organelles trafficking (mostly axonal transport) in relation to energetic metabolism and neuronal survival in Huntington’s disease but also in AD.
